Need help joining the server?
Shibboleth is our account protection and sign-in system. You use it both in Minecraft and on this website.
Sometimes we ask you to sign in with another account, such as Discord or Google, before you can play. This helps us check that it is really you.
This page is a guide. You cannot sign in from here. You need to open your own sign-in link from inside Minecraft.
How to sign in
- Open Minecraft and join the server as you normally would.
- If you cannot start playing yet, read the message in game chat. Open chat to see it. On a keyboard, press T.
- Click the sign-in link in chat. If Minecraft asks whether to open the website, choose to open it.
- Follow the instructions on the website. If you have linked an account before, sign in with that same account.
- Wait for the message that you have finished. Then switch back to Minecraft.
If you can already play, you do not need to do anything on this website.
Setting this up for the first time?
You can connect your Discord, Google, or forum account to your Minecraft account. We call this “linking”. When we ask you to sign in later, use the account you linked.
- While you are on the Minecraft server, open game chat.
- Type one of these commands, including the
/at the start:- For Discord, type
/shib link discord. - For Google, type
/shib link google. - For your forum account, type
/shib link xenforo.
- For Discord, type
- Press Enter to send the command.
- Click the link you receive in chat. Sign in with your own account on the website.
- Wait for the message that your account is linked. Then return to Minecraft.
You do not need all three accounts. Only link an account that belongs to you.
Did your link stop working?
Sign-in links only work for a short time. If the website says your link has expired or you have already used it, return to Minecraft.
If you were trying to join, disconnect from the server and join again. Open the new link in chat instead of the old one.
If you were linking an account, type the same command again to get a new link.
Still stuck?
Ask a staff member for help. Tell them what you were trying to do and what the message says. If you cannot access the Discord, Google, or forum account you used before, tell them that too.
Keep your account safe
We will never ask you to tell us your password. Staff do not need it to help you.
When you sign in, enter your password only on the official Discord, Google, or forum website. Shibboleth does not receive or store that password.
We keep a record of which account you linked and your Minecraft sign-in. We do not save the temporary access codes we receive from Discord, Google, or the forum.
- Never send anyone your password, a login code, or a recovery code, even if they say they are staff.
- Keep your sign-in link private. Do not paste it into chat or include it in a screenshot.
- Start from the link you receive in Minecraft. Do not use a sign-in link that someone sends you in a private message.
- Check the website address before you enter a password. A familiar logo does not mean a website is genuine.
If someone asks for your password or codes, stop. Contact a staff member you know through the server or forum, rather than through a link that person gave you.
